Feeling Somewhere Else

Does anyone ever worry/have the feeling that they are hallucinating true surroundings (people, environment) and that they’re really wandering the streets or hospitalized for psychosis somewhere? I’ve been feeling physically numb (can feel things when they touch my body, just a weightless floating feeling) for almost a week. I hate this. I’m terrified I’m losing it.

@ taralthomas,
I did have that, and in my case these were numerous both positive (something is present that should not be present, such as the pain that has no physical cause) and negative (something that should be present is not, such as the sense of touch, or the feeling of your own weight) symptoms of DPDR as part of dissociation. I found explication for that in the writings of Ellert Nijenhuis, Kathy Steele and Onno van der Hart. For the time being, just know that you are not losing it, even though it is a terrifying place to be, and that it is possible to get out of it.
Best,
A.
