I wish I had reality in my face. Had it a few weeks ago and it felt great. Yeah, don´t give up - keep walking...
Louise, this may (or may not) be true for many; but just to give a comprehensive view. There are just too many credible reports of DP/DR being triggered by things other than a defence mechanism or as a way of hiding from fears for this statement to be true in all cases. I my self (fully recovered for a long time) had no fear, anxiety of defence issues of any note that triggered my DP/DR.you can really see that DP/DR is a defence mechanism when you don't have it,
Again, just to provide a balanced view; a large proportion of people who have recovered from DP/DR never experience this (including myself); although again this may be true for many others.when you don't have it,
things can seem out of control, more worrying thoughts, real stress, not emotionally numb, you can actually get rather angry at random things which i am not used to after being numb for quite long lol, all thing all these things. it is a crazy time aha.
This is one of the best pieces of advice I read on this forum. I hope all of you still suffering can find the strength to do this......it can be challenging but is ultimately possible (it took me a while).by simply not fearing fear and riding it out instead of being like OMG OMG OMG this is so scary o fuck dp/dr again OMFG OMG IVE RELAPSED life is shit o god why me..
