You are not dead. You are not some ghost lingering around limbo and this isn't some hell.

Sure it may feel like 'hell' but remember all of these perceptions were created in your mind.

Your mind is a powerful thing, it can create wonders and terrors all at the same time. But know that your hormones and chemical imbalances also play a role on how you think and process information.

Yes, it's incredibly frightening to think this and I write to you because sometimes I think of the same fear too.
But we are not dead, it only feels that way. And to feel anything, you must be a living organism. Emotions can sometimes overpower the most logical person and having DP puts you in a very vulnerable state that amplifies these irrational thoughts and feeling of hopelessness.

Yeah, I get those same thoughts too. What most google results point out is that 'you are not crazy' but crazy is the least of my problems. I think being DP is worse because you are having crazy experiences in a non-crazy mind.

There was a period of about six months this time last year where I felt the closest thing I could imagine to a ghost. I felt invisible, in a dream, floating, simply a wandering mind with no body to speak of. I'm so thankful I'm no longer in that place. Wouldn't wish it on anybody.

How did you overcome that ghost feeling?
