On the reccommendation of a friend, who's view on my problem is that I go too far into my head (and can't get out) and need to learn how to connect with my body, I have been doing a beginners lyoga course. I am completely unconcentrated and unco-ordinated most of the time which brings back memories of humiliation in P.E. classes at school. I am also constantly distracted by negative thought loops.
However, today, I do feel it has made a significant difference to my state of mind. Feel marginally more with it and marginally more positive about the possibility of change than a couple of hours ago.......so am determined to persevere, despite the public shame!
One thing that interests me is that a key principle of yoga is learning how to connect with the breath and focussing the mind in on that. Focus inwards is what the teacher says sometimes, and I think to myself, is that wise in my case?? But perhaps her inwards, is my outwards....its all relative.
