So I was on both Xanax and Effexor and they helped me for a few months but after a while the pills stopped working and i had to taper off. BENZOS ARE HELL!!!!! no one take them... my dp is back and worse than ever. Xanax is hell to get off and even staying on them will not last forever. I need reassurance

Yep, benzos are evil. The US has a giant problem with over prescribing them. Doctors have been extremely lazy when it comes to treating mental illness.

Sorry you have to go through the withdrawal, been there wouldn't ever want to do it again.

Im on xanax now.have been for 4 months now.im at the stage where i dont need them now but if i miss a dose i get the shakes the day after and feel faint all day.
Im just cutting off a small piece each day to slowly wean off.
