My DR has been getting a lot worse lately. I'm not sure why. I think it came back a little bit and then I started thinking about it all the time and "fueling" it. It's particularly bad at school. I'm going to see my psychologist soon if I can manage to get an appointment. Does anyone have any advice or anything until I can get to my psychologist?

i too have had relatively bad dp/dr lately, and i find that doing a mindless activity like watching tv helps. when i'm feeling especially low, i take a nice hot shower. that helps a lot. other than that, try to stop the over-analyzation of yourself and your surroundings. try to socialize, when i'm with my friends it almost immediately takes my mind off dp/dr. good luck!

the only time my DP/DR gets worse is when waking up (feeling i'm alone), goin sumwhere im unfamiliar with and nighttime (i dont know why its worse during nights) but i distract myself by watchin tv, listen to music, or socialize.

I've been finding the evenings drawing in difficult recently also.
Wondered if it was a sort primal fear of the dark leaking out a bit.
TV and a couple of beers helps. Socialize even better.
Social disconnection seems to fuel the problem, though for introverts this is difficult again... thats the horrid thing about DR/DP (and mental illness in general I suppose) - the saftey of your mind/solitude is stripped away.
