Anybody else have this? I think about it daily some people say they don’t mind stuff they can’t control but for me this makes me very anxious and I fear the end being nothing as much as I would like to think of reincarnation. Sadly it doesn’t look like immorality is coming anytime soon despite promises of downloading your brain onto a computer. Things are slow advancing even trips to Mars have not happened yet.

Let the dead worry about death. I wonder, if they could, whether they'd worry about being born...

A shot of death anxiety now and again focuses the mind on what is important. You're less likely to live a life that ends in regret.

It's hard to stay anxious about death for long, so benefit from it while you can.

The irony of man's condition is that the deepest need is to be free of the anxiety of death and annihilation; but it is life itself which awakens it, and so we must shrink from being fully alive.

― Ernest Becker, The Denial of Death
