Why? Why a person, relative of mine, got helped with 300 mg Effexor and a bit of wellbutrin, and she feels good (althout she never had depersonalization)?

Why those cocktail doesn't work?

Why when I took 37,5 mg of Effexor I felt more anxious, more disconnected from my body?

Why why why I have not to respond normally to depression?

Why even 1 mg of klono doesn't help me now?

Cynthia :( (who would like to take effexor and be happy for a little while).

Medicine is tricky. I havent responded well to ssris either. Don't get so upset, you'll find one that works. You have to give the medicine a fair chance too. Medication can only go so far. You have to want to get better. How long have you been on the effexor? My doctor said some medication can make you feel worse before you feel better. I've heard people that havent responded well to other antidepressants should try Marplan. It is an older medicine, and I've heard that it has helped 50% of the people that have dp as well.

Marplan... hum, Anafranil before.
I tried Effexor 2-3 times, 1 week at 37,5 mg. Even one week at 12,5 mg. I felt so distant from myself, dilated pupils, etc.

I HOPED that a med like a ssri could help me. But I couln't stand it because of extreme dp, head pressure, blurred vision and anxiety/insomnia.

Well,

REALLY,

really, should I try for real Effexor, and go at 150 mg doses, etc. Until it lower dp/dr (if), or try Paxil at 40 mg, BEFORE going at Anafranil, even if it' supposed to help dp/dr?

Now I wonder if I should try Effexor before Anafranil, and wait like 2-3- months at 75 -150 mg, to see, even if the first weeks are awful.

Really.

Hi Cynthia,
If you have depression then perhaps you are on too small a dose off effexor for it to work. The symptoms that you are experiencing are also symptoms of depression.

I suffered severve depression and was close to being hospitalised and was put on 75mg of effexor xl ( still a relatively low dose). This has worked wonders for me and has cured my anxiety and many other symptoms.

As far as im aware 35mg is usually just for people who are suffering from some sort of mild anxiety. I am no doctor .........perhaps you should go see yours and talk it over with him.

Take care
hugs

Coco
