No assumptions or theories , "It was realeasing traumatic events" "it can happen to everyone" "it was cause of a panic attack) even though I never panicked until AFTER feeling the disassociation. I've come to the conclusion no one really knows. I know people that take acid and end up in a hospital and never get depersonalization. Why do we smoke weed and lose touch with reality? Why can everyone smoke it fine! Why are we the select few that makes the funnest and known to be safest drug, hell? Why does weed even induce dissociation. There were times I could smoke and enjoy it... now it just makes me depersonalized terribly. Why why why! I wish I could take some kind of medicine or something just so I could smoke like a regular person again and never have to have a brain malfunction like this EVER AGAAIN

I think the THC increases the emotional state you already have. So something mildly funny becomes utterly hilarious, a bit of anxiety becomes extreme paranoia, a panic attack becomes hell on earth... the exception being physical pain which it improves. Most drugs do this, but marijuana in particular seems to do this. I know from my experience that I was using it as escape except it sometimes made me more paranoid or anxious, but other times improved my mood.

Learning to relax is important, and from that link by fighterS, it seems to be implied with the negative effects on adolescent users brains. They lose some control/inhibition that GABA helps with. I am going to do a new post about a relaxation technique I have been using, probably next week depending on how it goes

why you need to smoke weed after that shit happened to you, was not this enough to understand that drugs are not for you? Weed addicted persons, will get psychosis, DP as well, memory problems, learning problems, ALL of them will get this problems, but it depends on how soon they will get it. It is good that our brains figured it out a lot faster....

"so I could smoke like a regular person again"

Is it perfectly regular to set something on fire, stick it into your face, then inhale the smoke, carcinogens, and hot chemicals deeply into your lungs"?

I'm thinking...no, not really. Not even if it dissociates you and fills your heart with terror. Nope! Not regular at all.

Well, why does it affect people differently? Assuming the weed is not different, we must assume that people are different. The largest part

of the human genome is dedicated to brain construction, development, and function. A project that large has many blueprints and schematics.

There is no warranty express or implied. Why are some people allergic to bee stings? Why are some allergic to peanuts? Why will some have

schizophrenia? Bipolar? Major Depression?: Tourettes? Why me Lord? Why can't I smoke weed like my homies?

Honestly its not that weed affects us that different, as I have done weed before with no problem, but its that the perception change induces a lot of anxiety and makes us feel vulnerable and unsafe, which triggers DPDR due to the amount of stress such a scenario causes.
