I was wondering if any of you had bad allergies. I read that a lot of people with depression have high histamine levels and low levels of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. I was thinking part of the reason most people here hate Zyprexa, Seroquel, and Remeron is because they antagonize histamine receptors which increases histamine levels in the blood.

I'm allergic to pollen and dust. I wouldn't know if you could say I had 'bad' allergies, but I do usually have to take Claritin or something in the spring.

I'm allergic to Clonodine (a drug i'm surprised noone in here besides me has tried) which is a blood pressure med with anti-anxiety/anti-DR capablities. Its a patch you put on for a week and after the first week i took it off and my skin was dying underneath.

Penicillin, cats, dogs, dust blah blah blah

However, whenever on an SSRI, it gets better! I have asthma too but none of its really bad, the one thing that drives me up the wall is feeling like I have two corks up my nostrils the whole time

I'm allergic to almost everything, and I've also had atopic (red & itchy) skin for all my life. Weirdly enough, when dp started to develop, over night my skin was completely cured and stayed that way for a few months. I don't know what the connection between these two could be...
