I am just curious to how many people who experience dp/dr get this drugged feeling like they are intoxicated with something? I feel this a lot and it kills me the most. I am so scared all the time because of it and I worry that if I panic about it then it will get even worse. I am worried about panicing. I cant think straight really I dont know what is wrong.

I have heard about that epilexy/bipolar medication helping with dp/dr does that help with this feeling? Or does any medication help with it?

Almost everyone gets it. I think one of the best descriptions of dp is like being slightly drunk (but without the merryness).

Ohh see i guess people describe it in different ways, like a dream state is similar to being intoxicated somewhat I think. I never understood dream state but if someone asks me if I feel like I am a little drunk or whatever yeah then I can relate to that. It just seems that it doesnt leave even if I dont have constant anxiety.

It also feels like I have less level of conciousness. Like tired all the timeish.

So people who have recovered this disapears with the rest of dp/dr since it is related to dp/dr? I am just very thankful that it is a symptom of dp/dr I was scared that I was going crazy or I was really messed up.

If anyone else has anything else to add to this I would really appreciate it. such as is there any way to relief it? I am going to a shrink tommorow and my doctor told me he does a lot of work with combo meds. Hopefully I can get a good combo of meds to relieve some of it.

This does sound like dr right? Like I dont think things arent real, they just look kinda different almost. Basically my main concern is my level of conciousness like I dont feel like im all here. Such as I feel slow in my train of thought I feel like I have a full head I feel like i look around the room I feel slow, and I am always dead tired.

It is like a feeling of always being tired to me where I cant fully wake up. Is that dr? Because I keep worrying that I dont fit in anywhere and I have some unknown thing.

To me, it's like somebody is constantly slapping me around the head trying to keep me awake because I feel so tired, but all it achieves is that I can't see straight or think straight. When my vision does feel 'still' it is not like I'm actually seeing it, but that I'm just thinking up what I know should be there, therefore it appears 'dreamlike'. Also, it occasionally seems that there are transparent things floating infront of my eyes which I can just about notice, although I don't know if these are the 'floaters' that people talk about.
