Ok, so I have been feeling much more positive recently, with less head fog, tensing, panic attacks and anxiety. But I am still tyring to rid myself of the actual dr symptom which seems to be around on its own recentl, but I cant shake it off despite the outside focusing etc

I was wondering, what comes first, do we perceive the world normally and then our thoughts create this dr symptom, or does our brain perceive the world in a dr world? If its the latter, then there is nought we can do I s'pose, but if its the former then its all psychological and there is hope for us all.

Any thoughts?

Take care

danny.. for me everything was normal untill my anxiety and panic was really bad... then as i got the panic under control the dr came... i dont know is it was from all the anxiety and stress from the panic or it was there with the panic and i just didnt know it untill the panic was under control.. i do know the less thoughts we give dr the better it is but its hard for me to do that... i do have good days but when the bad days come i forget the good days... what a cycle....Doug

Hi Danny,

In my case and too my understanding, the anxiety causes the DP/DR.
It is the brains way of protecting us from stress. When it has had enough it puts us into this dream world to stop us feeling any more panic.
Unfortunately this dream feeling scares us as much as the panic.

If, like me the brain fog is so bad that you feel you cant summon any thoughts, then try to see it as the brains way of stopping us from thinking scary thoughts, but also stops the normal thoughts too.
Does this make sense to you?

I never felt DP/DR until I started with panic and agrophobia. If it isnt caused by anxiety, then why did I not experience it before?

That is true, if it is the brain perceiving the world in the dr state then it would have been like that before dr. S'pose its just going to take time.

Exercise is definately a helper, although after exercise, it does feel like dr hell  but its worth it
