so i'm on nova-paroxetine (paxil) and olazapine (zyprexa) do you guys think that if i drank i woudl possibly die. i mean, it says not to consume alcohol, but i think it would be publisized more if you could die from it. so what do you think ladies?

no you would not die, I already got drunk a few times while being on SSRIs. You will feel really depressed the next day tho.

I used to drink regulery when I was on olazopine, you'll be alright but you will get very very tired a lot faster because of the alchol/med mix. I don't think it is possible to die from mixing the two as I had a few nights out where i drank a LOT and was fine.

I went in to the woods today had a few beers and a cuban cigar, that was pretty nice.

You will not die from those meds and alcohol alone. If you're worried about the combination then see your doctor. The only way a combination like that would cause problems is if you already had a heart condition or something like that - but, then, that wouldn't be "from those meds and alcohol alone" that would be throwing a another variable into the mix.

Your doctor _ought_ to have scoped those issues out, however, before even giving you the medication.

Bloody hell!

I know you said you had a strong liver, but I didn't realize it was that strong. If I was in such a situation I'd be hard pressed not to believe I'd already died and was dreaming in some way - especially if DP was still lingering.

As for people asking about drink, the truth is that it's not recommended, but that it should be fine.

Pharmeceutical companies simply need to "cover their backs" on these kind of issues; even though drink is usually fine to mix, for some, it can have problems.

Whatever else happens, I can guarantee that you won't die. If you do, come back on here and have a go at me - I'll apologize.
