So ive had a stressfull Event a few days ago and now i got very uncomfortable digestive problems. First lets start off i got constipation, but theres something else thats bothering me.. these few days ive been having the feeling u get when u have the urge to poop. But for me its constant. Its not painful but uncomfortable. I pooped 3 times these few days and i felt unsatisfied when i pooped these few days. Also, after i poop theres still a small bit of poop stuck (IF IM RIGHT) and at this point its making me feel anxious and depressed.

I have had my digestion completely stop for a couple of days when I was under a lot of stress some years ago. I don't know but perhaps it has something to do with the sympathetic system activating. When the body is in fight or flight mode, different emergency functions are activated, like fast breath, fast heartbeat, muscle tension, in order to get ready for fight or flight. This is done at the expense of the parasympathetic system, which is all the functions that are useful on the long term, like sleep, digestion, immune system... You don't need these things if you run away from a predator, and they can resume once the danger is gone. But the problem is that some humans have long term inner predators.
So perhaps it is related to stress, but I don't know if it is directly related with DPDR.

When it happened I realized my guts were very still. I had never realized I usually feel them when they are active, some tiny movements here and there, and then it was still. Also my stomach was full for two days and was not emptying. So I couldn't eat, and after a while I started to make the most nauseating burps, so bad that I had to move to avoid the smell.
Something similar happened when I was in highschool and ended with hypoglycemia. They gave me some alcohol with sugar (I bet they don't do this anymore) and I started to feel things activating again. But that second time I drank a big glass of vodka and it did the trick.
