Still recovered and still loving life, and you can too!

It's been 2 1/2 months since I made the move from Chicago back to my home state, and things just keep getting better. I got a new car, my job is awesome, I'm reconnecting with old friends, and my family is only a 20 minute drive compared to 3 hours.

I never thought I would live to see the day where dp wasn't obsessively on my mind. But that day has come and gone a hundred times over, and it's not coming back.

I just want to pop in here every now and then to remind you all that you're not alone. I think that's what helped me the most, was knowing that other people have felt what I felt. I still have little dp habits, like getting a weird thought in my head and almost convincing myself it's real, but then I get back into reality and remember that thoughts are only as real as you make them. Thoughts can't make you do anything, no matter how messed up or psychotic they might seem. You're normal, trust me.
