the biggest thing about dpdr for me is that even if i were to “get better” i would feel like i’m lying to myself and that everyone helping me is a liar and is manipulating me to ignore “the truth”, whatever “the truth” may be. does anyone else ever feel this way?

That's a bit confusing. Why not keep it simple. Getting better would preclude a scenario where you feel like you are lying to yourself.

Try to keep in mind, that it is you who has the problem. Truth is factual reality. Getting better is not the equivalency of taking the matrix blue pill to remain in blissful ignorance of the truth.

Getting better is like taking the red pill, and confronting the unpleasant truth that you are suffering a mental impairment - illness..

the thing is my brains trying to convince me that this isn’t an illness, it’s me unlocking the truth to life or something higher of the sorts if that makes any sense, and that ignoring that by getting better or being happy is ignoring the inevitable
