Hi Cynthia,

Just being a mother of an energetic 2 year old is enough to keep anyone tired. I think focasing on the thought that a lot of mothers of 2 year olds are tired might help.

Exercising. They say energy makes energy. Very hard to think about when all I want to do is lay in bed tired and depressed. But when I do it, I find it does help.

I just got off Lexapro ( and am still tired although it made me sleepy). I will begin getting off Klono in 2 months. I am hoping this might help me not feel so tired. Hell, it would about have to. Of course, it might set the DR off again, in which case I will just stay on it.

Depression makes us tired, Cynthia. Keep fighting the good fight. Something will click for you. Have an excellant Friday.

My "fatigue" is strange. I liken it to "head hunger" versus "real hunger". My head and emotions may tell me falsely ( a need to escape some pain or get rid of anxiety.....nervous hunger) that I am hungry when my stomach knows I do not need food. My fatigue seems many times to coexist with restlessness I feel both at the same time. Don't get me wrong, for I am so tired I can barely get a thought to synapse in my brain and can hardly get up to answer the phone for it "seems" I am so tired. But what often happens that lends doubt to true fatigue is that I can easily get out of this state. Something stimulating or uplifting can get me up and bouncing. Even jsut being forced to do something physical (like push a neighbors car out of the snow) pulls me out of it. If it was true fatigue my body could not rebound enough to let this happen in such a short time. I believe many times it is mental fatigue casuing the body to be lied to. Just as in head hunger.

I am no physiologist and I know there are true bodily responses of fatigue that occur from anxiety ( I am sure it takes much physical energy to worry and be stressed). And I do not know what true depression does in this context. I am only saying that many times it is easy for me to "trick back" the mind by making the body go first, or at least to go around the mind (stimulation or diversion) and leave its fatigue behind. Not all the time, but many times.

1- Stop sleep pills ( I don't take often but it slow me down the day after)
2- Exercice ( I do it but 2-3 times a week)
3-Maybe cut some diet Pepsi :) and coffee (except the morning)
4-Find something interesting to do!
5-Go outdoors
6-Eating well (since 2 years, I am not motivated AT ALL on this)
7-Vitamins?? But I don't want this to interfere with my meds)

Thanks!

cynthia, all those are good ideas. for vitamins, i take an herb called Rhodiola Rosea, it doesn't interfere with any drugs, but i'm not sure what all you take. like jft said sometimes you have force yourself to get up first, then you'll feel less fatigued later.

ginseng also helps, but it could make you anxious.

Hi,
thanks,

I don't know if Dp caused fatigue, or if it's my klono (0,75 mg a day), or if it's stress, or alimentation, or Paxil....

All I know is that when I took other AD's, I felt tired (not as much) AND very nervous and dp/dr, very ocd type.

W/o Klono I felt very tired AND dp/dr, nervous (go figure why)

With meds, I feel tired, no energy at all, dp/dr (10 % less) and confused but Paxil tend to lower the panik and crying all the time. That's all it does.

I would like so much to have energy! (but no confusion and panik) :)

THE dream :)
