·Seriously! Before I came to this forum, I knew very little of DR/DP. I only knew that:
- I felt weird
- Everything was unreal, like in a dream or trance, or like being inside another dimension
- It scared the S*** out of me!
- I had a lot of anxiety and some anxiety attacks
- I was afraid that I was loosing my mind, going crazy!
After participating for about a month in this forum/message board, I've learned that:
1. I'm not the only one!
2. I'm not going mad - a lot of people feel the same way, and they're not going mad (although many claim they are) - so I can relax a little, and when I feel bad, I can tell myself "I'm not going mad, relax!" And that really helps me!
3. DR/DP is something which can last for years, so maybe I should start to learn how to live with it, and get on with my life as best as I can!
My first DR attack came when I was 9-10 years old, but it was not until 2001 that it really began. After starting to post on this forum, I have really begun to see some patterns in my life, and it has helped me a lot! Thanks!
