I often have the midnight munchies, so I always keep chocolate and other goodies in my beside cabinet.

After my first nervous breakdown, I was put on anti-depressants, Diazepam and Temazepam. I used to be drowsy all day, and after taking the sleeping tablets, I would be completely well and truly 'out for the count'!

The amount of times I'd woken up the next morning, to discover six empty chocolate bar wrappers, four banana skins and other empty packages scattered all over the floor beside my bed...

I wasn't worried that I couldn't remember eating them - I felt devastated because they were all gone!

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Not me personally, but I did watch a program a couple of years ago about sleep eating. I hate to say it, but it was hysterically funny. Shouldn't laugh, I know, but I have no shame.

It was about this woman who couldn't understand why she was putting on weight despite not feeling hungry or eating much during the day. They put some CCTV in her house and observed the results. What was happening was that at night she got up, apparently sleep walking, went downstairs and demolished everything edible in sight, and woke the next day not remembering a thing - and obviously not being hungry. Even when she found out and hid food to stop herself, she still did it. One time she even got up and ordered a pizza !

exactly

the symptom of not eating is a blip on the map of eating disorders

the mindset is something totally different, and if you have ever had dp/dr it's probably part of the reason why
