It's like this is a cruel game now. I see this number constantly, and it's not like in normal scenarios you would expect to see it in like the time etc. I'd believe the 'frequency illusion' if that were the case. The idea that it occurs in the time at lots of stages along with other numbers so I'm just focusing on it.

But no this number is occuring in ever more ridiculous scenarios, so much so that it's like it's following me around or someone is putting it there to fuck with me, or maybe proving this is a dream state and that this is my mind creating it or I did die or something.

Saturday, I saw it in a book title. Sunday, an advert on the side of a bus. Then today, when I thought I'd gotten away with it, I open up a beer at 10 to midnight and there inside the bottle cap is a tiny 27!

This happens with no other number. Sure I'll see a book with a different number on occasionally, but not every day on many differing things. It's only this number and most days it's the only number I'll see on anything. But yes it's the only one Im guaranteed to see in a book, or CD, or box or anything else possible every single day.

I had this same phenomenon when I had acute DP. Now im feeling better I can see that it was nothing more than coincidence, as your brain is looking out for a 'threat' it is focusing in on anything that you could call 'anomalous' and attaching meaning where none exist. Try inviting 'scary' numbers into your life, ask for more 'signs' take the power out of it and the fear goes away.

I've had this too, and I think it's nothing more than a mild obsession. You start responding to this number in a special way, sort of like when someone calls your name. You learn to look for the number subconsciously, and it pops out for you because you have a bias that dictates that the number has special significance.

Honestly, I've never seen that number before in my life. Posting it was less sarcasm and more an attempt at humor. It is a little more than 1 x 10 ^12th which is tad more than a trillion.

A tad more than a trillion is what the US federal budget is adding to the US national debt, which is now over 21 x 10^12th. That is a scary number that everyone should see often.

Quick story: The Soviet Union broke up in 1991 and one of the reasons was the high stress caused by defense/arms budgets of the Soviet satellite nations. Soviet citizens

wanted dishwashers and refrigerators and instead, were getting AK7s and tanks.

In 1966, a Soviet Physicist Peter Ufimtsev wrote an article on stealth technology for jet fighters in a Soviet Aeronautics Trade Journal. The Soviets were abandoning the technology

because it had limited tactical purpose and was very expensive. Lockheed Martin took the magazine out of the trash, waved it at the US Congress, and the Pentagon received

funding for the F-117, B-2, F-22, and F35. The last I heard, the F-35 program had cost more than 1.5 trillion while failing to produce a reliable plane. For that same cost,

Russia can build 30,000 Sukhoi fighters that are versatile, reliable, and proven combat performers. Some experts say the Sukhoi is the better plane.

The US currently spends more than half of its discretionary income on the defense budget. That is like an individual cashing his paycheck, paying the bills, and spending more

than half of what is left over on guns and ammo. Every month, every year. Now the Navy has stealth boats. LOL Surely, the Army needs stealth tanks.

And when the US dissolves like the Soviet Union because of the national debt caused by the high stress of our defense budget, we can wonder if the Soviets put

that stealth magazine in the trash where Lockheed would find it.

7 was originally my number. Everytime I look at my phone clock it ends in 7. I sort of learned to accept I'm gonna see the numbers 1 to 10 everyday several times.

I'm finding it harder with 27, because surely to prove its just a frequency illusion would mean the numbers 1 to 100 would all appear several times in my day without me consciously noticing. Yet that's alot of numbers to all appear. But I see 27 every day without fail and it just now seems far too magical to be nothing more than a psychological pattern.

It's fine to believe that, whether it's a delusion or not, but I don't see why you would react the way you do in the OP. Why obsess over it in such an unhealthy way? I don't get the "fuck this!" reaction. Seeing the same number repeatedly doesn't have to mean this is "a dream state" or that you died. Why jump into such negative conclusions? It could mean a million other things, if it means something. It's almost as if you're deliberately seeking "evidence" corroborating your "dream state/I'm already dead" fixation-or construing everything as corroborative of it-which I've seen you mention on multiple occasions here. It's like you're bent on seeing every road lead to the same destination.

Like I've said before, even if you were dead, then so what? Anything that really matters anyway is your subjective experience of this existence. It doesn't really make a practical difference if this is just some immaterial illusion or faux life that you're living. The nature of the existence doesn't affect your role in it. You still experience what you experience, and what exists to you exists to you. Let's say you were hypothetically presented with absolutely objective knowledge that you're dead. What exactly would that change? Would you just quit life and stare at a wall until your actual death? Wouldn't death result in yet another life like this if this is what comes after experiencing what we know as death? The truth is that you will still exist in this reality, no matter the nature of it, so there's no point in obsessing over it. To us, life is a full-fledged existence and reality, whatever it concretely is or is not. It's the subjective experience that counts because the objective nature of life doesn't change that subjective experience or make it less valuable. No one can ascertain the genuineness or fakeness of this experience, so the only reasonable choice is to take it for what it is and live it.

Pondering the nature of reality and existence is of course fascinating, and I'm not trying to dissuade you from that, quite to the contrary, but doggedly seeing this issue from a singular, fixed perspective is problematic and clearly unhealthy.

I would very much like to discuss with people what it could mean and why they think it happens.

I've been trying to see if choosing another number would help. I chose 24. Saw it a couple times, but not as much or in, as unusual situations as 27. Will keep trying.

So I almost get to the point where I am satisfied that this is just a complex psychological mystery when...

I'm walking home at night. Past several properties that all have signs from numerous letting agents on. I walk past one, their phone number has 2 followed by 7. 5 minutes later, a different agent, 2 followed by a 7. Walk a bit further, a third different agent, part of this number is 2727!

At this point I am starting to get certain that this can not merely be coincidence. The exact number I am obsessed with appearing in pattern on sever different letting agent signs. Almost like it's resetting because my mind just wants to put that number in them.

Am I creating this? Is this a dream? Is this a fake world? Is this purgatory. Its all too convenient to be real.
