I am starting to have days that are so much better. On the good days I dont feel completely normal, but the feelings of dp are so minimal, I am content, happy, and able to function. I am so very grateful for these better days.

I am having a bit of trouble with the bad days. As soon as one hits, I quickly forget that I even had a decent day. I become a mess, and I am convinced that I will never feel any better at all. How do you get yourself though those rough awful days, and remind yourself that it is only temporary?

It sucks that all we can say is hang in there! But it's the only option. Hang in there!

The better days will come... Do you work?

Here's some tips that I know are very helpful if you follow them with real dedication.

Eat good! (lots of greens and vegs.) Stay away from stuff with a lot of sugars, or artifical crap

Exercise! (Start off slow)

Hobbies!

Religion. (I personaly believe in Jesus Christ, and you cant tell me any different)

Find a boyfriend or girlfriend! (this can be really good or really bad) you might fall in love and then if the relationship goes sour you might feel sick and it will make youre dp/dr worse...I know about this personally)

Basically just keeping busy!

This might not cure youre problems but it's sure to help you out... As soon as you stop thinking about DP/DR and it's symptoms all the time they get a little lighter... Hopefully to the point where it goes away!

It's such a frustrating and helpless feeling to know how much we are all suffering and all we can offer is to tell each other to... hang in there.... but your right it is the only option. Thanks for your advice.... it's all things I know I need to be doing and the reminder helps. :wink:
