So i just started taking lamictal and paxil. Highly doubt itll cure my dp dr not trying to be negative. Mine is caused by trauma but meds r my last hope ive had this way too long.

Can someone please respond and give me feedback on this combination. Dp caused by accumulated trauma and repressed emotions. Would meds lift dp

I havent really experienced any side effects so far tmrw will be a week ive been on 10 mg paxil and 25 mg lamictal. I havent seen any positive or negatice effects so far. The dp is so strong i literally cannot feel anything

Give the meds 6 to 8 weeks....If nothing after that then drop them....

Dont be surprised if you feel worse initially....Thats normal while adjusting to a new psychiatric med...It passes...

If there is improvement it will be very gradual and subtle....Its like you wont really notice getting better....Then suddenly you will realise you are feeling better (Hopefully)

No i havent felt anything really. No side effects. Do u believe meds can cure dp dr from trauma related? Or the only cure is getting out surpressed emotions

I've tried Paxil, Prozac, Wellbutrin, and Pristiq all in combo with Lamictal 200-300mg. They made my dp/dr worse but the one that was the worst was Paxil. I was high on the clouds. Totally in another world. I'm not surprised as these drugs usually suppress emotions and turn you into a zombie. I was on Pristiq for 5 months the other ones about 2 months. YMMV tho. I'd say give it a month or two.
