About five years ago, when I was fed up of applying for jobs and the boredom of trying to think up some 'hobbies and interests' to put on my CV, for a joke (and for only one application!) I wrote down almost every single hobbie/past-time I could think of. It went on for three pages. It's such bullshit that you have to have a hobby.. Whenever I've been in a senior position and had to interview people, I've been really tempted to question interviewees over their 'painting' and 'para-gliding' hobbies. Yeah, right. Of course you do mate.
