I can drink till the cows come home and only experience a slight increase in DR the next morning.
Ditto. It definitely accentuates anxiety, but the main thing to remember is that it isn't going to kill you. The extra anxiety is a product of chemical interactions having to do with the alcohol and they will go away soon. Unless you're planning to become an alcoholic i would say, if you want to, go for it. I drink every night (not heavily...at least not every night) and i've become so mentally immune to the stuff that i don't even find that i get that anxious the next day anymore. I find coffee a much more potent anxiety catalyst. But i still drink that too. Only the crack/cocaine have i stopped.

I used to drink ALOT when I was in college (1998-2002) and then the summer or two afterwards....in college I used to drink pretty heavily 3-4 times a week and during the summers like 2-3 times a week. But I've really, really cut back on that. Now I may drink once a week, if that. And if I do drink, it's nothing crazy like I did in college. I'm already tired enough from the week, so I usually just like to get good sleep on the weekends, and I can't do that if I am getting drunk. Moderation is key and you HAVE to know your limits.

Drinking makes my DR a thousand times worse the following day. Surprised im not a practicing alcoholic, cause i know that a couple of drinks will get me outta the funk, the DR. Instead i take klonopin, lol. But i'd rather be dependant (not addicted) on klono, than the alcoholic having 12-25 drinks a night i was when this whole DR began.

I'd venture to guess that initially we feel the boost in serotonin, dopamine, GABA. Unfortunately they will plummet the following day, thus screwing up our already imbalanced neurotransmitters.
