Haven’t looked at this website in weeks well because I was on vacation. Literally my dp started a yr ago and I must say every time I go on vacation it fades and doesn’t bother me. I drink and have fun without thinking about it or feeling it. Since having dp, I went on vacation 4 times within a yr and everytime, I don’t notice it. But it’s like when I come back home, it comes back a bit ???? ugh, can’t wait to be fully myself again

Yea I notice that also anytime I’ve dealt with dp. It’s the distraction that does that. When we are in our normal routine we have time to think about it. It’s at the forefront of our minds. That’s the issue. The obsession of checking in all the time. Eventually u will distance yourself from checking in over time that it will become a memory and you won’t really remember it.

Not weird at all , your not stressing , your not anxious , you are giving yourself your answers , this happens brcaue your engaged with enjoying your not obssesing when your having a bad day, when i was in at my worse with anxiety i aleays took short vacation and it miraculously disapered for those days i eas feeling much better, but then i found it it wasnt a miracle it easnt something eerid , i was enganging with more activities surfing all days enjoying conversation eith my friends not obsessing , it was hard for me to coprehend it took me years and years of therapy to understand how our thought can affect us
