Ok

So over the last few months I have been noticing that during the night my anxiety levels are sky high. First off, every time I get into bed my stomach is tensed up to the max, like a washboard.

Whenever I wake up at night for whatever reason, I feel like my anxiety is at 110% and it has been there while I was sleeping!! This is probably why for the last year ever since this dp started I have yet to wake up feeling refreshed. The anxiety MUST be having an effect on my ability to sleep well. Its as if the anxiety I have been supressing all day comes to bite me in my arse while I'm sleeping :?

Any thoughts on how to get out of this, and maybe, just maybe have a decent nights sleep for a change where i wake up feeling refreshed! that would be a godsend

This is exactly how I am most of the time. I get bad anxiety at night. I don't know why this is.

As for waking up refreshed, well that doesn't exist anymore seeing as DP is a 24 hour a day problem for me. the moment my eyes open, DP is there and it's the very first thing I think about. All day, everyday. It's a chronic problem for me now.

So I don't know how to help ya.

I s'pose your right, until I manage to actually get rid of dp I wont be able to stop this. Damn, i miss a good nights sleep :? , I feel so tired almost all the time
i haven't got rid of DP yet, but i sleep just fine *now*. at the beginning i'd wake up from tons of nightmares, palpitations, numbness in my left arm. not sure what kind of anxiety you're experiencing, but mine turned out to be fluctuation in blood sugar levels at night that were causing the palpitations, that then triggered night time anxiety. diet changes+5-HTP and i was sleeping like a baby again. ^_^
