Though I have DP/DR all the time, I have dips into sheer DP Hell. One of my worst experiences was when I got sick from some miserable bug... it was a seriuos brochitis with a high fever.

My DP/DR went through the roof. At one point, I really COMPLETELY disappeared. All I was, was "pure thought". It was so horrifying I couldn't move ... and my face was burning ... but not from the fever, but like I was sitting next to a bonfire.

The episode lasted maybe 15 minutes, but seemed like an eternity. All I wanted was to die.

If I had stayed in that state, I would have found someway (albeit with great difficult) to end it all, and I'm not exagerrating sp?

My DP/DR was worse during the course of the illness. I was REALLY badly sick. I caught this from my mother in law, and my brother in law got it as well. We all felt miserable.

I have noted that physical illness (flu, etc.) make my DP/DR much worse, which points me in a direction which makes it obvious to me that the symptoms are biological in origin.

When I felt so gone, with that burning, I wasn't even anxious, I just wanted to die.

Best,
D

Yes, I get skin burnng too

Although it is just on one side of my face for some reason

I first got it last summer, and it is quite bad at the moment, it feels like a 'radiation' type feeling

My GP said it was related to anxiety, but a family member said her friend gets it, and is actually a condition
