Serious question

Is it possible to have chronic depersonalization because of being seperated from your soul mate? Like having this being the literal meaning of someone taking ur soul. "No me without u".

Absolutely YES....Simply because that experience can be extremley traumatic...

Different people experience traumas at different levels...What is completely trivial to one person can be seriously debilitating for another...

Co dependence is usually at the centre of this....Co dependant people tend to seek happiness for themselves via others (usually a partner)....

The answer is to find happiness from within by loving yourself for WHO you are not WHAT you are.....

I have found over the years that I was constantly trying to escape from myself through alcohol, drugs, partners and in a strange way DP too, amongst other things........It was because I hated the true me....I wanted to be somebody different....This in turn made me an anxious person because I was always worried about what others thought of me...Ya end up feeling totally uncomfortable in your own skin and are constantly running from yourself....Irritable and discontented is how its described......We usually become people pleasers and doormats for others too...Because our self esteem is in the gutter...

When you learn to find that contentment from within by doing positive things for yourself and being good to yourself and loving yourself for who you are you will lose that desire to find happiness via external things....

It starts by knowing you are actually a decent useful human being and you are worth while....

Its so sad but I see so many people on a daily basis that hate who they are and are constantly running from themselves because they feel like a total waste of space because they arent rich or dont look like Brad Pitt (or Angeline Jolie for the girls) or havent become doctors or lawyers...The media has alot to answer for as well as our parents who constantly told us when we were growing up that we needed to be rich and succesful and beautiful to be worth while in life...

The fact is that every human being is useful and has a purpose no matter how sick or inappropriate they seem to others...

A simple smile to a stranger can have a huge impact on their day....Never underestimate your ability to affect others lives in a positive way and never belittle your own personal value to the rest of the world....
