The only CD I have that has anything remotely, "Irish" or celtic-ish sounding, don't laugh, is the soundtrack from "The Titanic." I like to do my yoga to that kind of music. I really like that flute, or whatever, that sort of mournful sound. But I'd like to hear more instruments, etc.

Can anyone recommend some really good REAL Celtic music that isn't "new age" or "Lord of the Dance." Something, preferably instruments only. I'll order an international copy of something at amazon if necessary.

I know nothing about Celtic groups. I've heard some good stuff, but can never remember what it is or where I heard it.

Much appreciated.

Dear Enigma,
Too broad. I went to a very good music store the other day and was directed to the Celtic Music section. There were about 300 CDs there and I had no idea what was good or not.

Can you give me a recommendation. Something really worth getting?

Or else you're joshing me, LOL. You must remember I HAVE NO BRAIN. LOL

Thanks,

Sorry, no.

I'd go back to the Celtic music section at that music store and just browse and take my chances on whatever looked best (and look at the track lists on the backs of them for 'flutes' and whatever other instruments you enjoy. It should say).
