So basically been dealing with depersonalization and dr for 3 years now getting worse and worse been checked out by every doctor but I still think it's medical I feel irritable I wanna jump out of my skin.
I'll be doing tasks walking running moving my hands picking up something and I don't realize I'm actually doing it it's almost as if I loose control of what I'm doing my body feels numb my hands and legs and whole body feels numb I can touch it it feels detached like reduced sense of touch the visuals are flat 2d animated people look like robots the trees and the street look flat almost fake I see floaters constanly everywhere I have visual snow I feel weightless nighttime is a trigger and light sensitivity .
I can honestly be walking and forget that I'm walking it's like my head and mine are detached everyday I push myself try and do more but I just get worse it's like ur head isn't caught up with ur body and ur body just keeps going without ur control and ur just watching it all happen scariest feeling so far I've never died never blacked out but I came close to it I just feel like I can't think I'm not in control I'm on Zoloft 100mg and Xanax 0.25 everyday I think I'm gonna die and the symptoms get worse and I see streaks flashes of light and really bad headaches if anyone has a sense of relief to tell me any tips to reduce my anxiety any tips on if it's something else please respond I need someone to talk to

I dont think it's a seizure, i walk around too and thats when im anxious. You can tell when im anxious, i can't stand in one place. I relate to how you feel.
Advices to reduce symptoms? I haven't found that myself yet, maybe not focusing on it? My symptoms seem to get worse too, i dont know

I got an Electroencephalogram. It showed I had a history of epileptic seizures. I had been having focal temporal lobe seizures for 40 years, and didn't realize it.

My epileptic syndrome included the affective disorder of major depression with insomnia and anxiety. Having severe insomnia and anxiety in addition to ocular migraines,

and focal temporal lobe seizures will have you experiencing every psychiatric symptom in the book, as well as some unique symptoms designed just for you.

So, why wonder if it is seizures or not? Just get a referral to a neurologist and get an EEG. If they give you a hard time, just tell them my story.

40 fucking years I suffered for lack of an EEG. Don't be me.

It couldn't hurt to get checked out for seizures, though you won't find the answer to that question here. Get scheduled to have an EEG if you think that may be the case.

With respect to the anxiety question, try do ask yourself: do I feel anxious and then these symptoms come on, or do I feel these symptoms and they give me anxiety?

How long have you been on the meds? Were have you felt better or worse since you began taking them?

So these focal seizures, does anyone else notice them? Is it like high functioning - like a background thing you don't notice? Say like, is it possible to drive and it not effect you? How does it go undiagnosed for 40 years? Doctors now adays just want to push pills and get you out as fast as possible, so I can't ask for an EEG. They'd just give me a bunch of neuro tests and say I'm fine.

Do you also get hyper self awareness "shocks"? Like freaking out suddenly when realizing that you're here and human?
I had that before full blown dp as a teenager, I would randomly notice where I am standing, say in a shop and all of a sudden the meaning of life and my existence in 0.2 seconds gets rushed through my head and my eyes feel like they've gone to the back of my head - if that makes sense.
