i always feel better in the spring and summer. i do have a touch of SAD, though. i was looking through the "where is everybody from" topic and a whole lot of people seemed to be from rainier climates...i wonder if more sunshine helps sometimes with dp/dr...

The sunshine? Hmmm... I live in a place where it's sunshine from April till September (and some days during the winter). It helps. Spring is wonderfull. But in the summer, when temperature reaches 35-45, well... it's worse than winter :)

Depression, anxiety, dp/dr are all realated to serotonin levels. Sunlight on our eyes, has a direct connection to the serotonin/melatonin conversion. The melatonin is converted from serotonin when we are in the dark. If a person is in the dark too long the serotonin levels will become too low (makes you depressed, anxious) and the melatonin levels will rise and make you want to sleep.
