No this isn't a post about me being scared of turning into a schizophrenic. However, I have a neighbor who is schizophrenic and lately ive kinda developed i guess you could call fear that one day he is gonna go crazy and go on some type of murder spree or somethin. I know this probably isn't logical. But I just wanted to know how likely is it for something like this to happen when someone has schizophrenia. From what I know he is on medication and he's been my neighbor for many years and basically keeps to himself. But still the thought crosses my mind like what if this dude goes psychotic one day?

SB, this is a common concern. Schizophrenics are rarely harmful to others. They are more likely to harm themselves before harming others. Don't worry about it.

Schizophrenia is a complex disorder but a danger to others? On rare occasions. Some of the meds. that they give schizo patients make hem feel catatonic, zombie-like, so I doubt that they will be able to commit crimes.
