I look at how i was before...try to eliminate the bad stuff and go from the good if that makes sense....try and listen to music that keeps me goin etc....good old punk rock :) I hated DP/DR when i first fell into it...before everything 'flowed' now it just is more effort but gotta keep livin lol

All I know is I was happy then, a happy, normal kid. And I don't think I had this inner monologue... I think that started in like third grade and has gotton worse and worse since. I wasn't plagued by constant fear like I am now. I was afraid at times, but it was caused by something and would go away when it was resolved. This DP just won't be resolved. I was close to my family... would talk to them freely. Now they seem like strangers, like I know I've known them all my life and yet I don't and am somewhat reserved around them.

I've only had DP/DR for a year now, one of the problems with coping is I can remember exactly how i felt before. The major things that changed were the biggest problems to get used to at first (DR) but the subtle changes in personality and perceptions are had to cope with because they're harder to pinpoint. Its like I become aware of new problems day by day as a result from DP. Blaarrrg.
