My own personal current belief is that DP/DR and related Dissociative Disorders (perhaps even including Schizophrenia) is that our Consciousness itself is dislocated. Much like one might dislocate their knee or shoulder. One only needs to pop the Consciousness back into place. The current situation though is that Scientists are right now in the debate whether Consciousness even exists as a thing. My belief is that one day Science can *potentially* discover and detect and measure and study Consciousness as another portion of our Anatomy. Then they can take the leap to figure out how to relocate our Consciousness.
Further more, it's my belief that: Consciousness is to Mind as Bone is to Body.
