Relapse

Hi. I have had panic disorder for as long as I can remember. I didn't know what it was when I was younger but I sure do now. I have been treated for over 20 years and it has been pretty good. I have had a relapse in the last month due to life changes. I am moving back to my home province and starting a new job right away. My husband who is my main support can't go with me right away. Not sure if I can do it. I have to drive 5 hours just me and my dog. Waves of anxiety are coursing through me. This group helped me a lot 20 years ago so I thought I would reconnect. Any words of wisdom?

I just recently moved across the country in my car with two cats, and I’d highly recommend listening to podcasts if possible. There are great podcasts that focus on anxiety, and they have breathing exercises for when you’re really in the thick of it. Also just finding a fun podcast about things you like is great because it keeps your mind busy during the drive.
