I find it amazing how many new registered users have joined since I joined here in April. I know that some may be returning users from long ago, but it still makes me realize how many people suffer from this disorder.

I am still DP free, and I thank God every day for this forum.

Once we have 1000 users, we need to celebrate somehow (hmmm...kind of morbid to celebrate the fact that more people are joining a disorder website, but I look at it more that people want to get help and they are recognizing what this is).

I say, party at Janine's. Let the Benzos flow...I would really like to try the Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin cocktail. And they say a Long Island Iced Tea is intoxicating......

Janine still hasn't paid for us all to fly to NY and stay in a top hotel like she said she would for the last DP Meet.
Perhaps we'll just do this instead. How many people can you realistically accommodate Janine, and I'll get the ball rolling :p

I have certainly enjoyed knowing you all and I wish everyone here the very best in their recovery.

I will soon be posting on some anxiety or OCD site (to be determined) and likely using another name.

GRIN,
Janine

p.s. in all seriousness, I live in the city, Matt
(and there is NO party)

Of COURSE I'm kidding, lol...I was just trying to run before everyone showed up at my house with wine and potato chips, grin

And thanks. It's my pleasure to offer my thoughts here.

We should all celebrate by enaging in a 1970's style streaking, running naked through the streets of NYC; throwing confetti and balloons everywhere along the lines of Rip Taylor
ummm.... I don't know about all that, but soon I will defineately be ready for a party. My god, with all we go through we deserve it.

I often have dreamy fantasies about us all meeting. Of course, it also involves wanton sex and boozing, but apart from that it's quite a nice daydream.

If I win the lottery, I'll pay for everyone to meet up somewhere. Florence I think.

hey weren't we going to organise another dp meet?

Martin, a booze fuelled orgy is just what you need to give your immune system a kick up the butt

As soon as you are ready for it, I'll organise. I really want to meet people now. Was a bit scared before and thought anybody who posted all day long on a mental health forum might be a bit, well, mental. Then I realised that I fell into that category and I'm not a mass murderer so it's cool.

Certainly, feel free to try and organise one. London is usually agreed to be the best meeting point (except for the agrophobics of course, who want to meet in their house, even if it's in a lighthhouse on the Shetland Islands  ) . Weekends are best too, for obvious reasons.

I'm well enough to meet up, and definately bored enough.

Nope. We had one 'organised' for April, but we couldn't agree on the dates. In all the years I've been on these boards, I know of only two successfull DP meets. But if you can get people to agree on a time and place, then it's worth it.
