it's all going through pretty well. just waiting on permission to put in a septic tank, then can finalise 
i can't believe the property is so cheap. i mean we're on the very bottom of the property ladder in the uk. bought our first place 2 years ago(i've only been working on a modest wage for 4 years so before then was unable to get a mortgage); a small terraced cottage in a remote and cheap area. we've just remortgaged and got most of the money( plus a loan) to buy the place outright! it's detached and has over an acre of woodland. ok it needs renovating but the roof and walls are fine.
and the sun shines...
