on a recent post you had mentioned a friend from high school with dp/dr is a general surgeon. What is the guy's story. I would love to know since I wanted to be a surgeon at one time.

Just a normal high school kid like me back in 1984. Very bright with a wicked imagination, but he used to always complain about "my hands don't feel like they're mine"..."I'm dreaming, I feel trapped in some dimension", and we used to share stories but he never seemed to fear his depersonalization symptoms. He's about forty years old right now with three kids and performs all sorts of surgeries and is fully functional. My other friend during the same time told me to "lghten up" and that he gets it all of the time but uses that detached feeling to travel to other dimensions..???? I know, sounds weird but he was perfectly happy with it.
