Hello,

My DP started in 2000. Since then it has only worsened, and now it's really really bad. Is anyone else like this, that their DP worsens every now and then and whenever it does it does so permanently.

That's how my DP is and I wish I weren't alone with it.

My DP used to go away for long periods of time. I spent from 2002 until March of this year pretty much DP free. Now, it is back with a vengeance. This disorder can be a vicious cycle. I blame mine coming back from the fact I tried to get off Paxil. I wish I would have just stayed on it.

Anyway - I don't think that your issues will be permanent. I know 2000 seems like so long ago, but people have licked this thing after longer than that. Keep up the hope and don't ever be afraid to tell close people in your life how you feel. It feels good when other people know what you are going through, as long as it is someone you trust.

It seems that whenever my DP worsens, it happens after I take some new drug. Dropping the new drug doesn't help the worsened DP, however.

I was in an MRI brain scan and the result was that there's nothing wrong, by the way. I thought I had brain cancer or something because this just gets worse and worse.

Can't say that's the case for me. It hit me hard and never got worse than that at any time. Some of the symptoms have improved though.
