Question about Benzodiazepines on DPD

I've been taken lorazepam (Ativan) for about 3 years now and the medication helped my anxiety and dp very much. The lorazepam makes me feel really good, it makes me feel really relaxed in my mind and body and eliminates all the anxiety I have so I highly recommended it.

I never heard of lormetazepam until now but it looks like they made a mistake because they both sound similar and you are right it used for insomnia. You should go back to your doctor and get the right prescription.

Personally I know of ativan, i had to look up lormetazepam, seems as if its a derivative of a benzo. Honestly Different benzos work differently for different people (Lots of differences, i know) One person could thrive on xanax while another might hate the way it makes them feel. Ativan of it self was not strong enough for my anxiety and i was prescribed klonopin. It worked for the most part but there are side effects that can be unpleasing as well. My advice would be to talk to your doctor about Ativan and have them prescribe the smallest dose possible and take it as needed.

Back when I started klonopin not as much was known about the long term effects, but they are definitely something you only want to take in a dire need type of situation.
