I posted this yesterday, but only got one feedback answer. I need to know if I should be scheduling to see a Pychiatrist or Pychologist??
I need someone who is gonna give me intense talk therapy like Janine has gone through. Not sure I really want to try the meds route again. I just need someone who is gonna be able to help me change using intense therapy. I actually just made two appointments for Pychologists this morning. Is that right?? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks and take care.

Yep, sounds fine.

I thought SoulBro gave you a good answer so I didn't reply. (who would ever have thought SoulBro would become the Shrink expert? LOL)

Either a psychiatrist or psychologist is fine, as long as you "click" with the person. I used to always prefer psychiatrists but man, it's a new world today and it's true that most of them don't even DO therapy anymore, but stick to consultations and med maintenance.

you just need someone who can listen well, and who is very smart.
Let us know how your intereviews go! And remember, you are interviewing THEM...you're the one with the power to hire or reject them!

Janine,

Thanks so much. Like I said, I made two appointments. Gonna just feel them out and see if they are what I am looking for. I need someone who can make me change the way I think I guess.

Though DP is a problem, it is my anxiety and depression that causes it. That I know. So I know that I NEED to battle that first and then I think the DP will slowly subside. Yes, I have my fingers and toes crossed! :)

Thanks again. Take care.
