Hey,

I am taking sertraline 50mg for 3 weeks now and I think it doesn´t help me at all.. 1 week ago I tried Promethazine and I had 0% DP/DR and I felt connected again. But as I heard Promethazine isn´t a medication for permanent use, but it helps me tremendously. Is there any medication for permanent use such as Promethazine?

It just makes me feel grounded.. I haven´t felt like this for 1.5 years

No, it is a old anti-histamine that can also be used for insomnia, nervousness and anxiety. Newer anti-histamines likely do not have the same effect. It is not a benzodiazepine so the risk of using it should not be so high. I would continue if it benefits you.

it did nothing for me except making me tired and a little sedated . it actually made my bad thoughts worse too but I dont know if the reason was really the promethazine

promethazine can be used pretty often as far as I know . a doctor gave it to me to take it 3 times daily (25mg) . but ask your doc because none of us here are doctors

you might also want to try pipamperone or melperone if promethazine helps you
