Hi

does anyone else experience 'popping ' sensations in their head?

had one on thurs, and felt 'different' again, then that freaked me out, and felt blank inside again like all the stuff i was 'thinking about' had gone

Its not like the energy surges/ electric shock feelings that get mentioned quite often
does anyone know what they are? and are they dangerous,lol

hi isobel,

i don't think i've ever experienced what you've described, but i'd suggest you get in to see a nerologist or some kind of doctor.
The only thing i can think of that's similar, is when i get withdrawls from my medication, i feel those horrible brain zaps in my head, but i think that's totally different from what your describing.

have you started taking any new medications, changed the doses , or gone off any meds?

I have had this once or twice since I got DR, and I also felt worse again immediately afterwards. It's as if something in your brain has burst, although I doubt it really has.

Forgot to ask, did you feel a build up to it over a couple of seconds, and hear something at the same time? I'm not sure if I imagined the sound or not, but there was definately a build up of something in my head before the 'pop'.

just seems to happen when im lying down, its like a slight pressure feeling before

Yep, pressure would be a good word to describe it I suppose. I get slight pressure feelings in my head/brain most of the time, especially when I've just woken up, but it rarely ever gets to the popping point.
