Does anybody else have a lot of other anxiety or stress symptoms like me? They are generally physical effects, and they all started before I got DR, here are some details of them and how they started...

Irratable Bowel (self-diagnosed, but my mum has it and my symptoms are very similar, started after a stressful relationship breakup, and I got a really bad instant attack of it the other day when I bumped into her in the pub)

Alopecia (where you get random bald patches that come and go, started 6 months before I got DR)

Eczema (It got a lot worse after 1 year of DR, and I now have big holes in my skin from it)

If you do get physical symptoms like these, have they got worse since you got DP/DR?

I haven't myself but I have heard on an anxiety forum that these are somewhat common. I know irritable bowel is very common in anxiety. I don't know too much about the other two but I know eczema is skin related. I would ask a dermatologist about how these are related.

I suffered from various anxiety related physical disorders, mainly being unable to eat, bad stomachs and dizzyness. The strange thing is they have all more or less taken a back seat since my DR...and maybe DP symptoms appeared several months ago. I kinda wish i could go back to the days where i just felt sick when anxious as opposed to what i am going through now.

these are conditions that can be triggered and exasberated by stress. I have ibs and we finally figured out i was lactose, wheat and gluten intolerant. supprisingly my last dp episode occured when i had been on a diet to eliminate these triggers! so unsure how that fits in! i do think dp can be triggered as a response to body changes but i think that our way of coping with the dp keeps us stuck in it?? i am still figuring this [email protected]*#h out so...forgive me if i sound all over the shop!

Well, I think my IBS got slightly better after the first few months of DR, but that was probably because I'd stopped drinking beer. It still bothers me whenever I'm about to leave the house though.
