People that were “cured” by medication

How long did it take after you started taking medication for the dpdr to go away ? I’m 22 weeks pregnant and need to get better before this baby comes, I can’t even take care of myself right now :( please don’t judge me for having to take medication to deal with this. I had this happen back in 2012 for over a year and again when I got off my meds this past March when I was trying to get pregnant (lasted about a month once I started back on my meds) I don’t know if it was the medication or just a coincidence. I hope it was the medication because I can’t live like this for a long time again. I know this won’t hurt me but i don’t feel alive or present :( idk how to make it go away I just need it gone

Hey! Not everyone's dpdr goes away or even improves with medication, and sometimes if one type of med has helped in the past, it may not help anymore. I've been taking a low dose of Zoloft for about 4 months, and my dpdr is definitely not gone, but it has improved a lot. It took a good month before I saw any improvement. So I would say keep up with the meds and see if they help at all. Even if they don't cure you, any amount of relief can feel amazing. Congrats on your pregnancy! I really hope you start to feel better soon!
