Yeah, unfortunately it is a word that is used in business a lot - roughly meaning that people are objects as opposed to individuals, or to make something impersonal. Its not exclusive to our illness, but I know what you mean - when watching some property tv program the other day they used the term 'depersonalize your home' and I kind of flinched - my boyfriend laughed and said -'you should be good at that!!!'.
