I dont believe medication can really cure DP, or depression or anxiety. It only acts up on the symptons, not the underlying causes, which are usually more mental and emotional in nature than physiological.
In terms of Impact, I'd say DP is primarily mental & emotional, and then physical. To better your physical life you can improve life style, like doing exercises, eating healthy, getting sun light and not staying most of the time sitting and using electronics. Then to work on the mind & emotions, i believe the best things are meditation and many forms of therapy and psychological counseling.
