Hi,

I am on Paxil withdrawal, 5 mg since 2 day, and I have many symptoms since couple of days : pins and needles symptom, nausea, kind of electrick shock symptoms who is painless but I have to move slow, dizziness, double vision sometimes and terrible nightmares. I am afraid of 0 Paxil.

I just ask people who went through this what are their advice. It's SURE I wont go of klonopin at this time. :!: Okay. I feel horrible and just wonder if there is something I can take to feel better.

I was on paxil for a long damn time and everytime I tried to stop or reduce my dosage I would descent straight into hell. I finally threw the shit in the trash one day and decided to endure the acid trip. The DR/DP was pretty horrific for about 4 months so I wouldn't recommend this. I would reduce the dosage you are taking by 2.5 mgs every 7-10 days. Thats what? one month of withdrawal? Withdrawal symptoms should be very manageable if you follow this route. If you want to go even slower then you can get the liquid paxil and reduce by as little as 1 mg at a time.

You should check out Joe's new post on the remedy "pure calm." Everytime I would get really debilitating DR in paxil withdrawal then I would take some "pure calm" and it would bring me back to earth. Paxil really fucks up your brain cells so I would actually consider ordering some of this stuff to help your brain cope. You are on klonopin too and that should help with the withdrawal symptoms as well.

I was on Paxil for 6 years, when I tried to wean myself off of it I felt like you ......what would bother me most were the eletric shocks that I would feel as soon as I would move my head a little to fast. For the first 2 weeks I decreased the dosage every five days, after that I took the min. dosage one day yes one day no, after 2 weeks of that I was able to be completely off of them with no withdrawal symptons.
I have now been on 250mg of Effexor for the last year, I'm planning to wean myself from them, hope it wont be too bad.

It' very hell in my head.... at 15 mg this wasn't too bad, then after 5 days I went down to 10 mg, and I began to feel those physical feelings. My psy went very very fast with the withdrawing, because I wanted to try anafranil. I think I went too fast. I cry alot and have 0 patience toward my child. I am angry and feel like I want to scream my soul out.

I don't want more klonopin, I tried it, doens't work. Only think that work well is sleep pill but I can't live on sleep pills! I never tried Gravol, maybe that would help. I feel very bad, it's not DP/DR who is so worse but my mental condition. I am very confused about what's next.

I really want to try anafranil at very low dose. I have faith in that. (and I tried it once).

I had to reply to this one... my suggestion (from experience) is go as slow as you need to. You can only figure this out by experimenting as everyone is different. If you get shocks after decreasing it a bit, go back up a bit and so on. Also, if you are sick of pill cutting I found out there is a liquid version of paxil (easier to decrease dose). Try alternating doses, ie. 12 mg on day, 10.5 mg the next, 12 mg next day, 10.5 the next, and eventually down to 10.5 every day...

Good luck there. Remember, listen to your body, it's your best advice.

I took my first anafranil dose yesterday. I slept well. No nighmares. Just dreams. But when I woke up in the middle of the night I didn't see well, well but Dp /confusion was worse. But it's ok now.

I am still afraid of what's next. I had numbing in my hands and some in my face. Scary. Now it's ok but I never know what will be the next effect.
