I was just sitting in my room watching T.V. then bang.... for 3 seconds I couldn't catch a breathe, out of no-where. Felt as if I forgot how to breathe.

Mini Panic Attack?... I hope so.

Something Sinister?... I hope not.

I wasn't even thinking about anything, just as if my mind went blank and my brain forgot about breathing.

Scared me sh!tless for a whole 1 minute. lol.

wow, my dad was just telling me how sometimes he'll just be driving in the car and that will happen to them, in the middle of nowhere he will like literally believe he can't breathe. sometimes it happens even though you are fine, but then the physical symptoms of anxiety kick in and make those perceptions seem real.

so, you are not alone. :)

btw there is this song by tricky called 'vent' which almost describes in music the dynamics of a panic breakdown. (you should download, it's a great track.) and the lyric it repeats over and over is 'can't hardly breathe.' creepy...

Yeah, when I was recovering from DR/Panic, I used to get what I called mini-panics. Out of nowhere I used to get a massive adrenaline rush, my vision would quiver, I'd feel terrified for a moment or two, and then it would go away. Nasty. It was almost like my DR was reminding me that it hadn't completely gone away, so not to celebrate just yet.

yep !
youre not alone ,some people suffer breathing problems through a medical problem but with 'us' its usually triggered by a thought

'what if i stop breathing'

then we react to such a thought and it sticks like glue until our minds meander off onto yet another anxious thought
