I keep doubting that I really have DPDR as I don't believe that I've ever had an out of body experience. Many of my memories are in 3rd person (which really contributes to the idea that they're not mine, thanks brain), but I don't believe that has anything to do with OBEs. It's really messing with me, as the idea that I don't have DPDR makes me feel like I'm just insane which is great.

What does an OBE feel like? I've felt disconnected from my body before of course, and this is usually the case, but it's more like I'm sitting in my head looking out through my eyes - much like the episode of Black Mirror: Black Museum - rather than not connected at all.

You dont have to have an OBE to have dp/dr. OBE is probably just dpdr at its worst. Ive only had OBEs after using marijuanna or drinking. Dpdr is more of a spectrum in intensity of feeling disconnected from yourself or surroundings. OBEs are like the ultimate disconnect, at least from my experiance. If anything, be glad ur dp hasnt been bad enough to cause an OBE.
